Colin Thorne, a 100-year-old parkrun fan, thinks it’s key to grow with new technology. He says, “We need to move with the times to keep up.”
“Parkrun keeps me going, and the encouragement from the Parkrun community means a lot,” says Thorne. Maybe seeing this ‘old fellow’ in action inspires others to join in.” It is reciprocal.
“Competition is motivating. Watching what others your age or fitness level do online can inspire you to set your own goals.”
“There’s nothing like encouragement and online competition to try to do better and not give up.”
