In case of excessive hydration, you add to the trouble and you end up causing the blocked area to be more bloated.This bloating makes it difficult for you to carry out normal functioning . So, there is no point in drinking more and more water in case of kidney stones.

    2- Drink beer for stone prevention

    Another popular belief about kidney stones says that when you drink beer, it breaks down the stones and prevents their formation. However, there is not enough evidence to support this claim. Kidney stones formation can’t be deterred by drinking beer. It causes more damage and increases the chances of formation of a particular type of stones.

    3- You should consume as much water as you can

    When it comes to the prevention of kidney and other related organs problems, drinking more and more water is one piece of advice we often receive. However, the fact behind this uncontrolled water consumption says that it isn’t good every time. When you consume too much water this can also be causing you many problems unlike your expectations that it will save you from such problems.

    4- Medications can dissolve the stones

    Well, this is merely a myth. Most of the stones are composed of minerals and there are currently no medications available to dissolve these stones. There are medicines for uric acid stones that can be used to dissolve these stones at an early stage. Bigger stones still can’t be treated by using medications and surgical procedures are further required.

    5- You can’t consume dairy if you have the problem of kidney stones

    Kidney stones themselves are a bigger problem and many people believe that any type of calcium consumption can leave you with more and more stones. However, the consumption of calcium will end up into calcium deficiency and will leave your body absorbing less oxalate. The oxalate alongside other minerals will turn into stones. Soo, yes you can’t skip consuming calcium if you have a problem with stone formation.

    6- Drink barley water to dissolve kidney stones

    This is merely myth as barley water is taken as plain water and does no wonder to your kidney. No matter how much barley water you consume it still can’t do anything good to the formation of stones in your kidneys.
