Gambling in the United States came to the British-American colonies with the first settlers. The legalization of gambling has fluctuated greatly over time, with it having periods of great favor and others when it was banned. However, it shot back in the 20th century as Nevada legalized gambling in a fight to overcome the Great Depression. In the modern age, we have a choice on how we gamble. We can either go to a land-based casino, such as on a trip to Las Vegas, or we can hang out in our sweats at home and gamble online.

Of course, online provides more security for your money as well, with security systems and some that will allow you to set a limit for how much you spend.
Online became the progressive younger sibling to land-based casinos, and people love it. However, not everyone can use them.
